The process

Bridge91 · India

You manage the work. We manage the employment.

An Employer of Record is the legal employer on paper. Bridge91's name is on the Indian employment contract, and every statutory obligation that contract creates sits with us. The person still works for you, reports to you, and everything they build belongs to you.

The split

What actually changes, and what does not.

Stays with you

  • What the person works on, and how they are managed
  • All intellectual property, assigned to you by contract
  • Hiring and selection — you choose who is employed
  • Salary, review and progression decisions

Moves to Bridge91

  • The Indian employment contract and appointment letter
  • Provident Fund, ESI, professional tax and TDS registration and filing
  • Monthly rupee payroll and payslips
  • Gratuity provisioning, leave, exit and final settlement
  • FEMA-compliant receipt of your funds through an Authorised Dealer bank

Day by day

Your three-day onboarding journey.

From a signed agreement to a person legally employed and inside every statutory register they belong in. Committed in the contract, not offered as a target.

  1. Day 1

    You send the details

Role, salary and start date. The master services agreement is signed. Your hire opens their own onboarding and submits identity, bank and statutory documents directly to us.

    Opened

  2. Day 2

    We register the employment

An Indian appointment letter is issued. Provident Fund and ESI registration begin. The salary structure is built and tax deducted at source is configured against it.

    Filed

  3. Day 3

    Live on payroll

Your hire is employed, insured from day one on our own group policy, and inside every statutory register they belong in. One invoice follows at month end.

At a wider grain

Four steps, start to finish.

  1. Tell us who you are hiring

The role, the salary you have in mind, and when you want them to start. Any role — we do not care whether they write code or close the books.

  2. We onboard them

Employment contract, Provident Fund, ESI and tax deducted at source, all in place within three working days of a signed agreement.

  3. We carry the employment

Monthly rupee payroll, every statutory filing, health cover, reimbursements and HR support — handled by the same chartered-accountant-led team.

  4. You do the work

One monthly invoice in dollars, itemised line by line. Your team delivers. Nothing about India lands on your desk.

After the first payslip

One invoice a month, and nothing else asked of you.

Each month we run payroll in rupees, file what is due, and send you one invoice in dollars with every component on its own line — gross salary, employer Provident Fund, ESI, professional tax, and our fee. You approve it. That is the whole of your involvement.
