Moving off Remote, in three steps.
The same sequence for every team, regardless of size.
-
What moves across
We review what Remote runs for your India team (contracts, payroll records, registrations) and set out what moves across as it is and what needs to be reissued.
-
New contracts and registration
Bridge91 issues Indian appointment letters on its own entity and raises Provident Fund, ESI and the applicable state registrations for every role.
-
First Bridge91 payroll
The first payroll cycle runs on Bridge91’s own systems from your chosen start date, with the salary structure directed by the Chartered Accountant on our board.
Questions worth asking before you switch.
Can we move from Remote without a gap in payroll?
Yes. Bridge91 prepares the appointment letter, the statutory registrations and the first payroll for the start date you choose. You agree the end date of your current arrangement with Remote.
Will our people see a break in their employment?
No. Their role and salary stay the same. The only change is the employer named on their Indian appointment letter, which becomes Bridge91 from the date you agree.
Can we keep Remote for other countries and use Bridge91 for India?
Yes. Keep Remote for the other countries you hire in, and run your India hires on Bridge91's own Indian entity, with one itemised invoice for India each month. Bridge91 specialises in India, so it sits alongside a provider that covers the rest of the world.
What happens when we want our own Indian entity?
Bridge91 Elevate sets it up for you. It incorporates the company, completes the statutory registrations, the FEMA reporting and the Indian bank account, and moves your team across. You can make the move whenever you are ready, because Bridge91 has no minimum term and holds no deposit.
Do you pay contractors in India too?
Yes, through Bridge91 CoR (Contractor on Record). Each contractor gets an agreement written for Indian law. Bridge91 deducts tax at source, issues Form 16A every year and handles GST on every invoice. Contractors join the same group health policy as employees from day one.
What support do we get on day one?
Instant support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by WhatsApp and email, and one named person for your account. On average, a new hire's first pay arrives in under 24 hours from agreed terms.
Which Indian filings does Bridge91 run?
Bridge91 runs each of these in-house, directed by the Chartered Accountant on its board: Provident Fund, ESI, income tax deducted from salary (TDS) with Form 24Q and Form 16, gratuity, professional tax in each state, Shops and Establishments registration in each state, and GST and Form 16A on contractor invoices. The compliance section of this page sets each one beside what Remote publishes, with a link to Remote's own page and the date we read it.
